Applications of Sodium Nitrate

Sodium nitrate is a crystalline and odorless component also termed as soda niter, which is mostly used for manufacturing fertilizers, potassium nitrate, and explosives. It is also helpful in the production of strong glass and to preserve meats.  Let’s have a closer look what makes it one of the primary components for sodium nitrate manufacturers.

Preserving Meats

It is used as a preservative for processed meats to ward off the growth of the bacteria that rots meat and retains the red or pink color of the meat. It is not used to preserve tuna or chicken as it does not have red color to preserve.

Applied in Fertilizers

This component is coupled with nitrogen, necessary in the growth of plants. Too less and too much nitrogen is harmful for fruit and flowers. The nitrogen from sodium nitrate fertilizers contains the right proportion hence immediately available to plant roots.

Manufacturing Glass

Soda nitrate is also used in two-stage process for manufacturing chemically consolidated glass. The glass is immersed in a soda nitrate bath that strengthens the surface of the glass and sodium ions add to the strength of the finished product. These glasses are used to create aircraft canopy of some fighter plans and some other conditions where tough glass with optical clarity are used.

Sodium Nitrate
Pharmaceutical Usages

It is also used in various eye drops, mostly acts as inactive preservative component. This makes it a vital ingredient for trading for sodium nitrate suppliers.

Explosives

Soda nitrate is also an ingredient used in rocket propellants. It has several benefits as an ingredient in an explosive. It acts as an inexpensive, stable, and non-poisonous.

Synopsis

All the above application makes this component the move vital element for the business of import and export for the sodium nitrate manufacturers.

Applications of Fluorspar Powder in Different Industries

Fluorspar, which is also termed as fluorite, is a colorful isometric mineral which is derived from the fluo-a stream or flow of water. The word fluorite has been originated from Latin word fluo, that stands for "to flow" as the mineral is applied to enhance the fluidity of slags applied in smelting flux.

Applications of Fluorspar in Optical Industry

Fluorite is a colorful element and it’s used for ornamental and lapidary purposes. This element is used for smelting, and also in producing some enamels and glasses. The purest form of fluorite is also the intermediate root of majority of fluorine-containing fine chemicals.

The transparent (optically-clear) fluorite lenses have low dispersion, due to which the lenses made from this element has less chromatic aberration that adds value to the telescopes and microscopes. This element is also applied in the far-ultraviolet range as the traditional glasses are too absorbent for use for this purpose.

Industrial Uses of Fluorspar

Fluorspar powder has three primary industrial applications. First is natural fluorite that corresponds to various grades of purity. Another is metallurgical grade fluorite, which is the lowest of the three types of fluorspar and it is conventionally used to reduce the melting point of raw materials to remove impurities in the steel production, and also in the production of aluminum. The intermediate, also termed as ceramic grade fluorite, is mostly used in the production of enamels, opalescent glass, and households and cooking utensils. The top grade, "acid grade fluorite", is generally applied in the production of hydrogen acid and hydrofluoric fluoride by decomposing sulfuric acid using fluorite.

Synopsis

All the above applications of fluorspar enhance the demand of fluorspar powder suppliers in India, which also contributes to mainstream economy of India.

Significance of Selenium In Human Nutrition

Selenium is not a metallic component, which is most commonly found in nature in the form of sodium selenite.

Its supplementation is always incorporated in nutritional balancing programs and it is required by all. Let us have a broader insight how this element is used in human body and what role it plays in human health.
Selenium Metal Powder - Maruti Chemicals Company
General Use

It plays a great role in human nutrition and other therapeutic use has been a matter of intense debate over the past two decades. Till now neither selenium's benefit nor its toxic impacts have been completely discovered.

Till now, selenium was considered a toxic component not required for a healthy human being. But in 1989, selenium metal powder was redefined as imperative for human health and was recommended to be included in a balanced human diet by the National Research Council.

It is said that less than 1 mg of selenium is found in average human body. This element is stored in the kidneys, liver, and pancreas of human beings. But in males, it is also discovered in the seminal vesicles and testes. This element has multiple applications that spans from treating skin problems to experimental applications in internal medicine.

Most amount of selenium is taken from food products, whether plants cultivated in the soil or animals having eaten these plants. Nearly 60% of dietary selenium is used as food passes via the intestines. Selenium ejects from the body through urine and feces.

Synopsis

Given the multiple application and importance of this element, selenium metal powder suppliers and manufacturers have found new avenues to explore the business.
